We are a husband and wife team running a sign and home decor service out of our home in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, We have two beautiful children who are the inspiration for our company. Those moments you spend at home as a family will never be forgotten, and we would love to do all we can to help make yours more special.
How We Got Our Start. As first time parents, you attend all sorts of classes, read plenty of books, and try to plan as best you can for your babies arrival. This being said, we were totally unprepared, as many parents are despite many warnings. We moved into our home, a “fixer upper” just 3 short months before our baby boy arrived. At two weeks early, we had next to nothing ready, no hospital bag packed, no floors in the nursery, and our “birth plan” that we were supposed to have written consisted of 1. Go to hospital 2. Have adorable baby boy 3. The End.
After a halfhearted effort at trying to get a suitcase together, We abandoned the effort and drove to the hospital. A few intense hours later, he was here. We loved the feel of his tiny body snuggled by our hearts. It was a flurry of emotions at this moment, which are hard to adequately describe, wonderful, strange, but so full of love. The next few days passed in a blur of activity. When day three dawned, we were told we would be leaving the hospital. It was a moment filled with eagerness and apprehension about leaving the safety net they provided. There were tears as we left the hospital, but ready or not we went to our home together, for the first time as a family of three. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but at that moment we felt that we were leaving them behind and we were all alone. That is, until we arrived home. The truth was while we were away, our TRUE village had been hard at work to ensure we were welcomed home in the warmest way imaginable. The amazement and love we felt upon seeing our home, neatly organized, nursery finished, adorable artwork lovingly hung on the walls, and a large stork sign carefully arranged in the front yard, help to ease our fears of being alone, and built excitement about our days ahead. Now four years later, we are excited and blessed to have the opportunity to help you create these moments for your family and friends who may need a not so subtle reminder of the love and support that their village can provide. If its small touches, or big signs, please let us help you create warm welcomes and treasured keepsakes for your home, family, and friends! |
